St Marys FC Prize Night - 5 x St Marys Players in the County Antrim Squad - Thomas Kane BBC NI presents prize
St Marys FC welcomed Thomas Kane from BBC NI Sport to present prizes to 5 of the 6 players from St Marys FC who were selected for the IFA County Antrim Squad for the 2009 to 2010 season.
The presentation took place in the Lansdowne Hotel on Tuesday the 8th of June. The players took part in a selection process run by the IFA for a County Antrim squad to represent Antrim in inter county games.
St Marys have teams in the South Belfast League and more recently in the elite National Youth League. The National Youth League for Under 12,13, 14 and 15’s look to develop young players in conjunction with other agencies including the IFA Excellence programmes and Schools FA in providing a coordinated approach to long term player development. St Marys have two teams in the National League at under 14 (97’s) and under 15 (96’s).
