St Mary’s U12’s Match Report 20th October 2007 - win against Windsor Youth - Score 3 to 1
The boys were set out in a 4 - 5 - 1 formation and a slow start saw us lose a goal from 20yards that was a cross/shot; anyway it flew in over Oran - no blame. The slow start due to having had a two week lay off and the manager's shouting!
Ten minutes in and we were dominating, chances were created and wee Tutin twice went close. The 5 man midfield got us our equalizer when lots of pressure and passing saw Emmet shoot from 16 yards. This continued with Gregory McFaul being heavily involved on our right wing. Another goal had to happen and vice Captain Ruairi scored from inside the box.
The whole team continued to function well and the guys and girl at the back were being creative, when they could, and very solid. More pressure 15 minutes into the second half and a move down the left broke to Ruairi Donaghy who struck a right footer from 21 yards into the far side of the goal.
First win of the season. Well done all!
