Scotland National Soccer Festival
As previously advised the Club will be represented at the Scotland National Soccer Festival over the first May Bank Holiday weekend by teams of Under 12, 13 and 14 age groups. Final arrangements have now been advised and details are attached for your attention.
The party will travel to Ayr on Friday 2nd May on the Larne / Troon ferry crossing and return Monday 5th May. Accommodation as in previous years will be at Craig Tara Holiday Park Resort.
All players should bring a sleeping bag and spending money to cover 3 days / nights. There are a number of restaurants and shops on site at the Craig Tara Holiday Park Resort to purchase meals and refreshments. It is suggested that an amount in region of £50 would be reasonable but this is each individuals' personal responsibility. In relation to mobile phones, IPOD's etc the Club cannot be responsible for personal possessions and it is recommended that where possible these should not be taken. Telephone access is available at the Craig Tara Holiday Park Resort and each team manager will have their mobile phone available for contact throughout the weekend ( see details attached ).
Throughout the weekend supervisors will encourage the children to eat well but we would ask you to discuss this with them beforehand and highlight importance. It is recommended that you consider sending some provisions such as mini boxes of cereal that they like and preferred snack bars for during the day of the tournament when it is likely we will be away from the Park Resort most of the time. Should you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact your relevant team manager.
Indeed should you have any queries regarding this event and the details advised please do not hesitate to ask any member of the Committee. We hope all will have a very enjoyable and successful weekend.
Yours in sport,
Brian Byrne
